Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed a public rally in Murshidabad, Malda North and Darjeeling West Bengal. During the event, BJP District President Shri Soumen Mondal, Murshidabad Lok Sabha Candidate Shri Gauri Shankar Ghosh, Assembly candidate Shri Bhaskar Sarkar, State Vice-president Shri Sumit Das, BJP Malda President Shri Ujjwal Dutta, Malda Lok Sabha Candidate Shri Khagen Murmu and Darjeeling Candidate Shri Raju Bista were present on the stage. During his speech, Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh strongly criticized the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool government, accusing it of obstructing the people of West Bengal from accessing the benefits of central schemes. Shri Singh also highlighted concerns regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the public welfare and development initiatives undertaken during the tenure of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Shri Singh highlighted the historical and cultural significance of West Bengal, which has been the cradle of India's cultural renaissance and appreciated the Matua Community, who gave a small performance before Shri Rajnath Singh’s  public address. Shri Rajnath Singh noted that luminaries like Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Syama Prasad Mukherjee, all hailing from this sacred land, have contributed immensely to India's heritage. Shri Rajnath Singh bows his head before the Maa Kriteshwari, included among the 51 Shaktipeeths. Shri Rajnath Singh expressed concern about the current state of West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee's leadership. He lamented the prevailing atmosphere of anarchy, where goons operate with impunity, leading to harassment and insecurity among the populace.

Unioin Minister Shri Singh stated that West Bengal is a land of great scholars, but nowadays, there is an atmosphere of lawlessness throughout the state, and the state is becoming known nationwide for its crimes and communal tensions. Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned the decline in law and order in places like Sandeshkhali, especially under the rule of a female chief minister. Shri Rajnath Singh urged the people to raise the flag of the Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal this time and see who has the courage to commit such incidents like the one in Sandeshkhali. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted incidents where goons attacked agencies like the ED and CBI, indicating a complete breakdown of law and order. Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that for the development of any state, a robust legal system is essential, which is currently lacking in West Bengal due to the high morale of criminals. Shri Rajnath Singh remarked that the incident in Sandeshkhali has not only drawn attention within India but has also brought shame to humanity worldwide.

BJP Senior leader Shri Singh stated that when examinations are conducted for SSC, TET, and other recruitments, there are irregularities, lottery scams, wherever you see, it's the same in West Bengal. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that Mamata Banerjee's name itself signifies compassion, as maternal love is a mother's nature, then why don't we see compassion for the people's suffering from her? While questioning Mamata Banerjee, Shri Rajnath Singh asked, "Where has the compassion of your heart gone? Now, your compassion is only in name."

Shri Singh stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi initiated numerous welfare schemes for the poor in West Bengal as well. The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was launched to provide 5 kg of ration to 80 crore people across the country. However, due to the TMC government, the people of Bengal are not receiving the benefits they deserve. Even the Jal Jeevan Mission, which should be implemented properly in West Bengal, is not being carried out effectively. Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned that although the Prime Minister initiated the PM Awas Yojana to provide pucca houses to people, Mamata Banerjee renamed it as Bangla Awas Yojana. The benefits that should be reaching the poor are being given to TMC workers instead, which is unjust. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that the BJP government introduced the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, providing free treatment up to 5 lakh rupees across India. However, Mamata Banerjee did not show enough compassion towards the poor to ensure that those who fall ill among them can benefit from the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that while Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi introduced the scheme with empathy, Mamata Banerjee did not allow its implementation in West Bengal. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that all farmers are being provided with ₹6000 annually under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, which has not been implemented in West Bengal. Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that the BJP government has allocated a significant amount of money for the development of West Bengal, but it is not being utilized properly. Funds were allocated for various projects such as ₹1000 crore for the Kolkata metro, funds for the Chittaranjan Cancer Centre, funds for Satyajit Ray films and television, and funds for industrialization. However, there is concern about where this money has gone.

Shri Singh highlighted that on December 30, 2022, when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's mother passed away, it reflects the respect and affection the Prime Minister has for West Bengal. After paying his last respects to his mother, he directly came to West Bengal and inaugurated a project worth ₹7,800 crores, along with showing the green flag to the Vande Mataram train. Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that while Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is wholeheartedly willing to develop West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is worried that the people of West Bengal may start loving Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi more than her. However, reassuring Mamata Banerjee, Shri Rajnath Singh stated that now the people of West Bengal trust only one leader, and that is Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

BJP Senior leader Shri Singh stated that Mamata Banerjee had promised to provide housing to all the poor in her manifesto, but even the PM Awas Yojana, which should have been implemented properly, has not been applied by her. Free ration for BPL families, 10 free gas cylinders are now being promised by Mamata Banerjee, but she is not properly implementing schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. During elections, Mamata Banerjee lures the people with various temptations.

Shri Singh stated that West Bengal is the land of great warriors, the land of revolutionaries, and now the people of West Bengal will not fall for the temptations and allurements in Mamata Banerjee's announcements. They have witnessed governance of TMC for a long time. While the entire country is provided with free gas, the people of West Bengal are not receiving it. Mamata Banerjee claims in her manifesto to start schemes similar to Ayushman Bharat, but the BJP's opinion is to first implement the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh, and the way she wants to divide Hindus and Muslims  and establish governance through politics. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that Mamata Banerjee should not indulge in caste, creed, and religion-based politics. Politics should be about justice and humanity. Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned how Muslim people work in other countries or cities and come back to their home on Eid, but Mamata Banerjee is misleading the Muslim community by saying that if they go after celebrating Eid without voting, their citizenship will be revoked. This is how she is misleading the Muslim community. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that the newspapers covered the news about the bombing and stone-pelting during the Ram Navami procession in Murshidabad, where more than 20 people were injured.

Union Defence Minister Shri Singh remarked that Mamata Banerjee's actions have led to a culmination of wrongdoing. He expressed confidence that the end of the TMC had commenced. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India's global standing has significantly enhanced. Previously, India's voice wasn't accorded due importance, but now, thanks to PM Shri Modi, India's words resonate on the global stage, commanding attention worldwide. Despite PM Shri Modi's remarkable achievements in elevating India, Mamata Banerjee resorts to baseless criticism and misleads people about him and his party.

Shri Singh highlighted that despite the aspirations of past Prime Ministers like Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi to eradicate poverty, their efforts fell short. However, for the first time in Independent India, NITI Aayog reports that 25 crore people have been lifted above the poverty line, marking a significant milestone in poverty alleviation efforts. India's economy has made remarkable strides under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership. Within a decade, it has ascended from the 11th to the 5th position globally. Projections suggest that by 2027, India is poised to become the world's 3rd largest economy. Furthermore, numerous economists and financial firms have recognized India as the world's fastest-growing nation.

BJP Senior leader Shri Singh criticized Mamata Banerjee for prioritizing power over public welfare and providing refuge to criminals. Shri Singh highlighted the importance of promoting cultural heritage by mentioning the enthusiasm generated by the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav in Murshidabad, which showcased folk dances like 'Jhumuriya' and 'Ranpa'. Additionally, he lauded Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's efforts in encouraging such programs nationwide. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that after a prolonged delay, the people of Murshidabad witnessed the fulfillment of a promise made by the Centre during the UPA government in 2008, finally realized by the NDA government in 2016. The Jangipur Mega Food Park, allotted in 2008 to benefit poor farmers and the local community, had languished for years until the NDA government ensured its implementation in 2016. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojna, Jangipur Road Railway Station in West Bengal is slated for redevelopment. The final stages of construction for the Nashipur Rail Bridge were initiated under BJP leadership. Notably, schemes like the Beedi Workers Welfare Scheme, benefiting nearly 50 lakh workers, with nearly 19 lakh from West Bengal, have been implemented. Despite welfare initiatives such as Awas Yojna and Ayushman Bharat being extended to them.  But,  Mamata Banerjee's administration is obstructing their implementation.

Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh urged the people to oust the Mamata Banerjee government and expressed confidence in BJP's prospects in West Bengal. Many political strategists and survey agencies predict that BJP will win more than 30 seats in the Lok Sabha elections in the state. If BJP secures more than 30 seats, they are confident of forming the government in West Bengal in the next assembly elections. Shri Rajnath Singh appealed for support for dynamic candidates like Murshidabad Candidate Shri Gauri Shankar Ghosh, Malda North Candidate Shri Khagen Murmu and Darjeeling Candidate Shri Raju Bista for the Assembly constituency, expressing belief that BJP will emerge victorious in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and form the government with a full majority.
