Today, if we look at the principle of Antyodaya in conjunction with the policy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, it clearly represents the modern manifestation of Deendayal Ji’s philosophy of Integral Humanism

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was not only a thinker but also a leader and an organiser. Guruji used to say that if he had four Deendayals, they could transform the country. Though Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji was associated with the party for a relatively short period, in that limited time he sowed the seeds of an ideology and connected it deeply with the Indian philosophy of life

A vast country like India cannot be governed successfully through a centralised system, but rather through a decentralised one. That is why Deendayal Ji emphasised decentralisation. Bharatiya Janata Party National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a Seminar on 60 Years of PT Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Integral Humanism Lectures on Sunday. Shri Nadda emphasized the far-reaching positive outcomes of the ideology of Integral Humanism created by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and highlighted the focus on the development of the last person under the principle of Antyodaya being implemented by the BJP government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji in the modern era.
Shri Nadda expressed gratitude to the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Foundation for organising the event, stating that it touched upon a wide range of subjects including education, culture, sustainable development, women and youth, border security, civilisation, rules, and duties. He emphasised that along with intellectual discourse, equal importance must be given to emotional, social, and spiritual thought as well. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was not only a thinker but also a leader and an organiser. Recalling Guruji’s words about him, he said, “If I get four Deendayals, I can transform the country.” Owing to his unmatched intellect and vision, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay transformed the Bharatiya Jana Sangh into a national political force within a short span of time. Though his life was cut short prematurely, he sowed the seeds of ideology at the core of the party. At a time when the country was being overwhelmed by Western ideologies such as socialism and capitalism, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay boldly advanced the philosophy of 'Integral Humanism'—a distinctly Indian worldview rooted in our cultural values.
BJP National President Shri Nadda stated that nearly sixty years ago, between April 22 and 25, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay delivered an extensive four-day lecture series on ideology. Today, this two-day intellectual workshop is a highly meaningful and timely initiative. He urged that such efforts should not remain confined to seminars alone but be taken forward in a systematic and structured manner. There is a need to establish and solidify this initiative at the level of ideology. Though Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's formal association with the party may have been brief, in that limited time he sowed the seeds of ideology and linked it to the Indian way of life. His focus remained firmly rooted in Indian thought, culture, traditions, and systems of thinking—values that are not products of a few days but the result of thousands of years of civilizational experience. These traditions hold deep social, political, and economic relevance, which is why we must also promote a Swadeshi approach from an economic perspective.
Shri Nadda stated that a vast country like India cannot be governed successfully through a centralized system, but only through a decentralized one—an idea strongly emphasized by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. He highlighted that Deendayal ji had advocated for policies to be shaped not by Western standards, but by Indian benchmarks. While this may have seemed unachievable at the time, today, under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Indian standards are being established across every sector. He further noted that Deendayal ji spoke of Swadeshi, and today, India is swiftly moving towards ‘Aatmanirbharta’. India has become the world’s second-largest mobile exporter. In the toy industry, India now ranks third globally, and it has also achieved the third position in the automobile sector. In the realm of defence, India's budget has crossed ₹1.30 lakh crore under the mission of self-reliance. The recent success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the BrahMos missile test have further demonstrated India’s growing strength and technological capability.
National President stated that during his student days, he often questioned what economic model accompanied the organizational work. The response he received was that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s economic thought was part of a comprehensive philosophical framework. Today, if we observe the principle of ‘Antyodaya’ alongside the policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, it represents the modern embodiment of Deendayal ji’s philosophy of Integral Humanism. He emphasized that those who once claimed to be self-proclaimed experts in economic models have now fallen apart. In contrast, the BJP government in India is working for the welfare of the last person in the queue. Deendayal ji used to say that the true identity of a nation lies in how it treats the person standing at the very end of society. Inspired by this very philosophy, the principle of Antyodaya has been implemented on the ground by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Under the Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 80 crore people have been provided with five kilograms of wheat or rice and one kilogram of lentils. As a result, today 25 crore people have risen above the poverty line. To empower women, over 10 crore LPG connections have been distributed under the Ujjwala Yojana. This is not only an effort to improve quality of life but also a catalyst for social transformation. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 4 crore permanent houses have been constructed so far, and by 2029, an additional 3 crore houses are planned, with 75% of these houses registered in the names of women. This reflects not only women’s empowerment but also respect for the poor. The construction of over 12 crore toilets is a significant step towards cleanliness and dignity. These are actions that go beyond slogans and bring about real, ground-level change.
Shri Nadda stated that through schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Soil Health Card, and Crop Insurance, a total of ₹1.35 lakh crore has been directly transferred to farmers so far. Under the Crop Insurance Scheme, ₹36,000 crore has been paid out. Through 19 installments of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, assistance has reached 12 crore farmers, including 2.5 crore women. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has worked to bring women, farmers, and marginalized sections of society into the mainstream. Culturally, India is also moving forward with a swadeshi mindset, breaking away from colonial thinking. This inspiration is derived from the philosophy of Integral Humanism.
BJP National President Shri Nadda said that Mahesh ji is a profound scholar of this ideology, and Gurumurti ji has presented many of its dimensions today. This ideology, derived from Indian traditions, the thoughts of sages, and our cultural heritage, must be organized and given a permanent form. PPCRC, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation, the Integral Humanism Center, and Prabhat Prakashan should collectively provide stability and momentum to this ideology. Ideology is not a rigid or static element; it continually adds new dimensions over time. We must understand these new aspects and incorporate them into our thinking. The seed sown by Deendayal Upadhyay ji is now advancing through governance under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, but it must grow into a banyan tree that guides not only India but the entire world.
