Key Points from the Address of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah at the
Kisan Mahasammelan in Nizamabad, Telangana.
With the establishment of the Turmeric Board, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has fulfilled a four-decade-old demand of the farmers of Nizamabad.
Modi Ji always delivers on his promises.
The formation of the Board will transform Nizamabad into a global hub for turmeric trade, empowering FPOs and farmers.
For the holistic development of Telangana, it is essential to uproot the Congress government.
Earlier, Telangana was the ATM of K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s family; now it has become the ATM for Congress leaders sitting in Delhi.
Corruption continues in Telangana just as it did under the previous government.
Only Modi Ji’s double-engine government can truly bring development to Telangana.
Those who once said they wouldn’t let India sleep in peace had their headquarters blown up by Modi Ji.
Those questioning Operation Sindoor need only to look at Pakistan’s current condition to find the answer.
Even today, attempts are being made in Telangana to shield Naxalites and obstruct the implementation of central government schemes.
We will eliminate Naxalism from this country before March 31, 2026; Revanth Reddy must not give shelter to Naxalites.
Nizamabad, June 29: On Sunday, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a Kisan Mahasammelan in Nizamabad, Telangana
While addressing the gathering, Shri Shah stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who had promised the establishment of a Turmeric Board in 2023, has not only fulfilled that promise but has also met a four-decade-old demand of turmeric farmers by establishing the Board’s headquarters in Indur. “Modi Ji always delivers on what he promises,” Shah emphasized.
He further said that with the launch of the Turmeric Board, turmeric from Nizamabad will now find its way into global markets. Though turmeric prices often fluctuate, the day is not far when prices will remain consistently strong. The Board will establish the medicinal value of turmeric worldwide and transform Nizamabad into a global turmeric trade center, empowering both Farmer Producer Organizations and individual farmers.
Shri Shah announced that the Government of India has created two cooperative organizations—Bharat Export Cooperative Limited and Bharat Organic Cooperative Limited. Both of these will open branch offices in Nizamabad. A complete system will soon be in place for packaging, marketing, and export ensuring that organic turmeric reaches markets in the U.S., European Union, Canada, UK, Vietnam, Switzerland, and Australia.
Speaking on national security, Shri Shah said that after becoming Prime Minister in 2014, Shri Narendra Modi began fortifying the country’s defense. During the previous 10 years of opposition rule, terrorists from Pakistan frequently entered India, carried out attacks, and escaped unchallenged. No one spoke up. But in the past 10 years under Modi Ji’s leadership, there were three major terror attacks—Uri, Pulwama, and Pahalgam. In response India conducted a surgical strike after the Uri attack, an airstrike after Pulwama, and after the Pahalgam attack, India entered Pakistani territory and eliminated the attackers,
After the Pahalgam attack, Prime Minister Modi had vowed to teach them a lesson. While Pakistan issued nuclear threats and opposition leaders doubted any retaliation, Indian soldiers launched a bold overnight operation, destroying the terrorist headquarters inside Pakistan and killing hundreds. Yet, opposition leaders continue to question the mission. Shri Shah said that the Leader of the Opposition will get his answer in Pakistan’s current state itself. The enemies who once said they wouldn’t let India sleep peacefully had their bases demolished by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Telangana Congress president has spoken in favor of giving Naxalites shelter. Those who don’t will be dealt with decisively. By March 31, 2026, the Modi government will wipe out Naxalism.
In the Northeast, 10,000 extremists have surrendered and now participate in local elections. Over 2,000 Naxalites have surrendered as well. But for those who continue to bear arms, there will be no dialogue. He questioned those who defend Naxalites—what will they say to the families of tribal people, police, and security personnel who lost their lives in Naxalite attacks? For years, Naxals blocked development in tribal areas. Shah expressed concern that opposition parties may try to shelter Naxalites fleeing from across the country in Telangana but assured the people that with Modi Ji at the Centre, Naxalism will end by March 31, 2026
The Union Home Minister accused the previous BRS government in Telangana of widespread corruption—in projects like Dharami, Kaleshwaram, and TSPSC recruitment. Ironically, the current government under Revanth Reddyhas not initiated action on a single case. Telangana, once the ATM of KCR’s family, has now become the ATM of Congress leaders in Delhi, he said. Corruption continues in the state, Naxalites are still being protected, and central government schemes are being obstructed.
Shri Shah urged the people that if they truly care for farmers, Dalits, tribals, women, and youth, then the only government that can ensure their well-being is the double-engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that for the all-round development of Telangana, the Congress government must be uprooted.
He highlighted Modi Ji’s initiatives for farmers: increasing the agriculture budget by ₹1 lakh crore, providing ₹6,000 annually to every farmer's account, keeping fertilizer prices stable, and ensuring access to crop insurance. With the establishment of the Turmeric Board along with various initiatives for Dalits, OBCs, tribals, the poor, youth, and women, the visionary work of PM Modi will continue in the coming days.
He concluded by cautioning Revanth Reddy not to allow Telangana to become a safe haven for Naxalites.
