Jamaat-e-Islami is an organisation that has openly said it opposes democracy, secularism, Indian constitution and wants to implement sharia law in India

Congress has officially in political alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami in the Nilambur Assembly by-election, an anti-national and anti-democratic organisation that has been kept away from mainstream politics for a long time.

On one hand, Rahul Gandhi and Congress roam around with a copy of the Constitution in their hands and talk about secularism, on the other hand they fight elections in alliance with an anti-national, anti-democratic and anti-constitutional organisation that believes in Islamic rule.

Constitution in one hand, secularism on the other and partnership with Jamaat-e-Islami, this is the reality of Congress.
****************

Even Jamaat-e-Islami’s head, Mujeeb Rahman, has admitted that apart from the BJP, all parties — including Congress, the Left, and RJD — have consistently sought and received alliance from organizations like Jamaat

The Congress party has, for years, relied on a politics of fear, provocation, and misinformation. Today, the public is well aware of the Congress’s true face — their only consistent strategy is the politics of Muslim appeasement

When a Hamas leader attempted to radicalize children in Kerala, the BJP strongly opposed it. Shockingly, INC MP Rajmohan Unnithan defended the Hamas leader by calling him a "freedom fighter." This is the same language Pakistan has long used to justify terrorism

With the Constitution in one hand, “secularism” on their lips, and partnerships with Jamaat-e-Islami — this is the real face of Congress. Such appeasement politics clearly reflects their desperation, as they have nothing substantial to offer on issues of development, governance, or the economy

Bharatiya Janata Party Kerala State President and former Union Minister Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the conference, Shri Chandrasekhar strongly criticized the Congress party for supporting the radical and anti-national organization Jamaat-e-Islami. Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that on one hand, Rahul Gandhi and Congress roam around with a copy of the Constitution in their hands and talk about secularism, on the other hand they fight elections in alliance with an anti-national, anti-democratic and anti-constitutional organisation that believes in Islamic rule. This is the real face of Congress' opportunistic politics.

Shri Chandrasekhar said that in 1941, an organization named Jamaat-e-Islami was established. For years, it has been described as a dangerous and anti-national organization. Jamaat-e-Islami is an organisation that has openly said it opposes democracy, secularism, Indian constitution and wants to implement sharia law in India. In 2018, even the then Congress Chief Minister Oommen Chandy called it dangerous and anti-national in court. The core ideology of this organization is fundamentally against secularism and democracy, these are not BJP’s words, but the words of a Congress Chief Minister himself, who stated that this organization believes in establishing Islamic rule. Jamaat-e-Islami was kept away from the mainstream politics of the country for a long time, as many parties, including the Congress, considered it anti-national. However, during the by-election of the Nilambur Assembly seat in Kerala — which falls under the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, formerly represented by Rahul Gandhi and currently by Priyanka Gandhi — the Congress openly took the support of this dangerous organization, Jamaat-e-Islami.

BJP Kerala State President Shri Chandrasekhar said that this is the same Congress party which, on one hand, walks around with the Constitution in hand and talks about secularism while accusing the BJP of communal politics. But on the other hand, it repeatedly allies with anti-national, anti-democratic, and anti-Constitutional organizations for opportunistic politics. Recently, when the BJP observed the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge questioned its relevance. But such remembrance is essential because even today, Congress continues to undermine the Indian Constitution, democracy, and secular values through its desperation and appeasement politics. The BJP is raising this issue so that people do not forget how Congress, for the sake of power, is engaging in dangerous politics by partnering with those very organizations that were once kept away from mainstream political discourse.

Shri Chandrasekhar said that for the first time during the Nilambur by-election, the Congress formally allied with Jamaat-e-Islami and openly sought its alliance during the campaign. Earlier too, the Congress had relied on Jamaat, but such alliances were always kept under wraps. However, now under pressure from Jamaat, Congress has openly acknowledged this partnership. The head of Jamaat-e-Islami, who is referred to as the "Ameer" — Mujeeb Rahman — recently stated that there is only one party in the country that has never taken support from Jamaat, and that is the Bharatiya Janata Party. All other parties — whether the Left, RJD— have consistently used Jamaat-e-Islami and such organizations as political crutches.

BJP Kerala State President Shri Chandrasekhar said that the Congress party has, for decades, practiced the politics of incitement, fear, and deception. Today, people from all communities have come to see the truth about Congress that its only consistent strategy is Muslim appeasement. He said in Bihar, Congress is working in alliance with Imarat-e-Sharia, while in southern states like Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, it is aligning with Jamaat-e-Islami. In Karnataka, Congress even has tacit understanding with groups like SDPI and PFI.  We’ve seen earlier as well how Congress has followed a policy of appeasement even in matters of national security and terrorism. During the 26/11 terrorist attacks, the Congress party claimed that the RSS was behind it, not Pakistani terrorists. When the Batla House encounter happened, Sonia Gandhi rushed to defend and justify the terrorists. After the Pulwama terror attack, Congress alleged that the BJP had orchestrated it. And when the Pahalgam attack took place, Robert Vadra blamed the abrogation of Article 370 for the situation.

Former Union Minister Shri Chandrasekhar said that a Hamas leader recently tried to radicalize children in Kerala through a video conference. When the BJP opposed this, Congress MP Rajmohan Unnithan shockingly referred to the Hamas leader as a “freedom fighter.” This is the same rhetoric Pakistan has long used to justify terrorism. He said what’s happening today in the parliamentary constituencies of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi reflects the shamelessness of Congress’s politics. On one hand, they hold the Constitution and speak of secularism, while on the other, they align with Jamaat-e-Islami. This double-faced approach is the true character of the Congress party. This appeasement-driven politics reveals their desperation, because they have nothing to offer the public on development, governance, or economic issues. Karnataka and Telangana’s economies are deteriorating, and Congress has pushed Himachal Pradesh into a state of crisis.
