Salient points of press Conference of BJP National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia

Tejashwi Yadav's remark about “throwing the Waqf Amendment Act passed by Parliament into the dustbin” is deeply unfortunate. If the bill is still under consideration in the Supreme Court, how can Tejashwi unilaterally declare it unconstitutional? Is this not contempt of court?

****************
The people of Bihar are saying- what is jungle raj like? It is exactly like Lalu and Tejaswi.

****************

There is no place in India for those Namazwadis who want Sharia, they can go to Pakistan.

****************

The more the ‘Namazwadis’ will chant Sharia-Sharia, the more BJP-NDA will chant Constitution-Constitution.

********************

In Bihar, those who claim to be “Samajwadi” have revealed their true identity as “Namazwadis.” These individuals neither accept nor respect the Constitution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar
****************
Priority of RJD, Congress and Mahathugbandhan is to implement provisions like Sharia law, polygamy and Halala and empowerment of only one particular religion.

****************

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji envisions the empowerment of Dalits, women, and backward communities — but Tejashwi Yadav stands in opposition to that very vision
****************
Tejashwi Yadav will have to answer whether he was on the platform where employment, development or law and order was being discussed or not? The truth is that Tejashwi Yadav was on the platform where there was talk of implementing Sharia law and throwing the law passed by Parliament into the dustbin.

****************

A few days ago, a picture surfaced in which a photo of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was placed at the feet of Lalu Yadav, and he made no effort to stop his supporters from doing so. Neither Lalu nor Tejashwi Yadav has apologized for this incident to date
****************

Baba Saheb's picture was lying down in the meeting with Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders. This picture, which came up during the Lok Sabha elections, was not just a picture — it reflected a mindset aimed at turning India into an Islamic nation

****************

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, all parties of the Indi Alliance endorsed the Congress manifesto. That manifesto explicitly mentioned the implementation of Personal Law, Sharia Law, and religion-based reservations — all of which are entirely unconstitutional
****************
Tejashwi Yadav should remember the statement made by his father Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Parliament on 7 May 2010, in which Lalu Yadav had said that 'the Waqf Board has usurped the lands of the general public and the government, and a strict law is needed on this.'

****************
The people of Bihar have already seen, suffered, and now rejected RJD’s jungle raj. This battle is about protecting the Constitution, defeating lawlessness, and strengthening democracy — and the BJP, along with the NDA, is fighting it with full force and will continue to do so

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Tuesday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia strongly criticized Tejashwi Yadav and the Mahagathbandhan for their anti-backward, anti-Babasaheb Ambedkar, and anti-Constitution mindset. Shri Bhatia said that the priority of RJD, Congress and Ghamandia Mahathagbandhan is to implement provisions like Sharia law, polygamy and halala and empowerment of only one religion.  Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is implementing the policies and schemes of 'Jan Kalyan' and 'Vishvakt Bharat' along with empowering Dalits, backward classes, women and youth along with, whereas Tejashwi Yadav is opposing it.

Shri Bhatia stated that in yesterday’s press conference, the Bharatiya Janata Party raised a serious issue — that those who call themselves "Samajwadi" in Bihar are, in reality, "Namazwadis." These people neither accept nor respect Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution. Their priorities lie in Sharia law, practices like halala, and the empowerment of only one particular religion. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji envisions the empowerment of Dalits, women, and the backward sections of society — but Tejashwi Yadav opposes that vision. Whenever they talk of Sharia, the Bharatiya Janata Party will respond by standing firmly with the Constitution.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that Tejashwi Yadav’s remark about "throwing the Waqf Amendment Law, passed by Parliament, into the dustbin" is extremely unfortunate. He asked Tejashwi Yadav to clarify: Can any state government throw a central law into the dustbin? The matter is currently pending before the Supreme Court, and an interim order has been reserved. So, how can Tejashwi Yadav declare the law unconstitutional? Is this not contempt of court? Has Tejashwi Yadav placed himself above the judiciary? He remarked that ‘jungle raj’ has a face, and it is that of Lalu and Tejashwi, where the Constitution and the rule of law are trampled upon. Even while in the opposition, Tejashwi Yadav continues to act in the same reckless manner. Even though elections have not yet been announced, the intentions of RJD, Tejashwi, and Lalu Yadav are crystal clear they are determined to pursue communal politics. While the Bharatiya Janata Party speaks of the Constitution, the opposition parties speak of Sharia. Their sole agenda is to polarize, create Hindu-Muslim divides, and spread communalism. Tejashwi Yadav must answer: was he present on a platform discussing employment, development, or law and order? No. He was only present on a stage where there was talk of enforcing Sharia law and throwing a law passed by Parliament into the dustbin.

Shri Bhatia said that the people of Bihar and the entire nation will ensure that those who insult Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution are themselves thrown into the dustbin of communal politics. A serious question also arises in the minds of the people—how did anyone in a democracy like India even dare to speak of Sharia from a public stage? This so-called “Ghamandia” or “Maha-Thugbandhan” alliance is inherently anti-Constitution, anti-democracy, and anti-Ambedkar. A few days ago, an image surfaced showing Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s photo was placed at the feet of Lalu Prasad Yadav and he didn’t stop his supporters from doing so. Neither Lalu nor Tejashwi Yadav has apologized for it to this day. Even during the Lok Sabha elections, similar images surfaced where Baba Saheb’s portrait was lying on the floor during meetings with Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders. This wasn’t just an image — it reflects a mindset that wants to turn India into an Islamic nation.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia said that during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, all parties of the “Ghamandia” alliance accepted the Congress manifesto. That manifesto clearly stated that personal laws and Sharia law would be implemented, and religion-based reservations would be granted all of which are completely unconstitutional. The Bharatiya Janata Party and all NDA alliance partners will not allow such poisonous ideologies to succeed. The people are no longer calling Tejashwi Yadav a socialist; they are calling him a “Namazwadi” and a Sharia sympathizer. If Tejashwi Yadav truly wants to listen to the public, he should first recall what his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, said in Parliament on May 7, 2010. Lalu himself admitted that the Waqf Board had grabbed land from the general public and the government, and that there was a strong need for strict laws against this. Now that the Waqf Amendment Bill has been introduced — a law aimed at ensuring transparency, women’s empowerment, and equality — Tejashwi Yadav is talking about tearing it up, scrapping it, and throwing it into the dustbin.

Shri Bhatia said that when the BJP talks about development, they talk about Sharia. When the BJP talks about employment, the opposition talk about polygamy and halala. Just like in Karnataka, the INDI alliance parties want to snatch away the rights of Dalits and backward communities and give reservations based on religion. These are constitutional questions and they will be asked. Today, it seems the opposition in Bihar has run out of issues. They have no real questions left to raise, which is why they keep harping on about Sharia. The people of Bihar and the country have already seen the era of jungle raj; they have suffered through it, and now they have rejected it. This is a fight to protect the Constitution, defeat lawlessness, and strengthen democracy and the BJP along with the NDA is fighting it with full force and will continue to do so.
