Ban
Cigarette use
It
refers to proposed Tobacco Legislation Bill to further tighten rules about
advertising of tobacco product sand other measures to restrict tobacco-consumption
in the country. Half-hearted measures made in parts to check consumption
of tobacco-products are of no use. Union government should take ultimate
step to completely ban manufacture and sale of cigarettes for use in the
country. Use of tobacco products in gutkhas should also be banned. Smoking
is started only out of fashion even if initial puffs cause irritation.
But later smoking becomes an addiction. Ban on cigarettes and tobacco
in gutkhas will save huge medical expenses on tobacco-related diseases
which are much larger than revenue earned from these harmful products!

Exemplary
BJP-Cong co-operation for Sabarmati Project an Cigarette use
It
refers to welcome launch of mega-budgeted and self-financing ‘Sabarmati
River-side Improvement Project’ in Ahemdabad by Gujarat Chief Minister
Narender Modi in presence and with whole-hearted support of State’s Opposition
Leader Amar Singh and the city’s Congress mayor for its time-bound completion
in 1000 days! Such a project to transform 18 (9x2) kms stretch of river-sides
on international lines should be an example of always- warring Delhi leaders
of BJP and Congress to jointly plan some similar project for the dying
Yamuna river in Delhi. Political consensus is very necessary for success
of such dream projects because a big area on river-sides has to be freed
from encroachments. Uprooting of law-breaking encroachers settled down
by land-mafia must not be made a political issue for vote-bank politics
in interest of city’s development and law-abiding citizens.
Other
cities situated on river-banks should also take Gujrat as model-example
to transform rivers again in clean and healthy conditions from present
horrible state of dirty drains!

Nation
expects specific Military action against Cross- border terrorists after
Brutal Killings of Hindus in Kashmir
The
nation awaits with baited breath, further necessary Military action against
the terrorists who are killing innocent Hindus and other Non-Muslims,
in particular in Kashmir. Mr. Yeshwant Sinha’s veiled comments on India’s
right for taking necessary action are being positvely interpreted in social/political
circles. Time has come for ACTION. Nation cannot wait to see yet another
group of innocents murdered by Cross- border terrorists at the connivance
of our belligerent neighbour. People are looking forward for the protection
of their lives and property and INDIA has to chalk out its own plans of
action, rather than depending upon outside countries and shd. not come
under the misguided advise of any of India’s partners to combat terrorism
by Pakistan. Great expectations of the people should. not go undiluted
and it is time Pakistan is taught a fitting lesson. Let us not worry as
to who will win and who will lose. In a war, somebody will lose and somebody
will gain. The important thing is that patience has its own limits and
the same is running out. The Nation is prepared for making any sacrifices
to teach Pakistan a fitting lesson. I am only Ventilating mass opinion
in this part of the country, which you must be also aware of. Best wishes.
