‘Paani
Adaalat’ to protest biased distribution of drinking water
BJP demands CM’s resignation
From Our Correspondent
BJP
Overseas Cell Co-Convener and Saket MLA Shri Vijay Jolly has accused
Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit of bias in distribution of drinking
water in the Capital. He alleged that large parts of South Delhi and
Outer Delhi were being deprived of water as the supply was being diverted
to feed the parliamentary constituency of the Chief Minister’s son,
Shri Sandeep Dikshit in East Delhi.
Along
with senior BJP leaders Shri Vijay Goel, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad
and Chaudhary Bal Kishan Arya Shri Jolly held a symbolic public court,
‘Paani Adaalat’ and ‘Paani Morcha’, at the Jhandewalan office of the
Delhi Jal Board on June 7. Besides 46 Residents welfare associations,
scores of BJP workers participated in this Adaalat. Shri Jolly appeared
as ‘peoples’ counsel’ and stated that people living in South Delhi
and Outer Delhi villages especially Sangam Vihar, Devli, Khanpur,
Badarpur, Tughlakabad, Mehrauli and Vasant Kunj areas are deprived
of their minimum average drinking water supply by DJB and have been
meted out step-motherly treatment for the past so many years.
