Samarpan Divas on February 11

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani will be among those who will attend the "Samarpan Divas" programme to be held at the BJP headquarters on February 11, the anniversary of the demise of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya, the president of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and author of the "Integrated Humanism" ideology.

That day all BJP workers would contribute something for the party funds all over the country.

Deendayalji died in a tragic incident on February 11, 1968 at the Mughal Sarai Junction when he was travelling all alone by train from Lucknow to Patna. The coach taking him to Patna had to be shunted at Mughal Sarai station and was taken far out in the huge railway yard where he was thrown out of his coach on the railway line, where he died as a result of his head striking the rail.
