A Freedom Fighter of Arunachal Pradesh Joins the BJP
To
Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu
President,BJP
Appeal to join BJP after leaving old Indian National Congress
Sir,
On
behalf of the general people of Arunachal Pradesh, want to elucidate the
following points:-
That Sir, I am a veteran Freedom Fighter No. 1488 of this country. I have
been a keen observer of comtemporary socio-political activities of the
countyry, especially our own state Arunachal Pradesh.
That
sir, in the days gone by, to be a member of Indian National Congress was
a matter of great pride because in entitled the spirit of Nationalism
in those days.
That sir, under the leadership of various leaders of INC, ideoelogies
and outlook towards socio-economic scenario has undergone a big jolt.
That
sir, under the same leadership of INC, our state Arunachal Pradesh was
also being governed in those days. Owing to complete change in outlook
towards the genuine problems of common people, slowly it has been becoming
difficult for people like me, even to breathe freely with National pride.
That
sir, latest political scenario has seen the elevation of Shrimati Sonia
Gandhi to the President ship of Congress Party.
That
sir, elevation of a woman of Foreign Origin and race to such a vital race
for Prime Ministership is not at all worthy in the views of octogenarians
like us.
That
sir, such activities to my mind is like creating idols of plastic, which
gets dilapidated. Whereas, idols of metals through ages, rain and sunshine,
do not lose their identity.
This
country needs the stewarship of such metals and not of plastic that slowly
wither away.
That
sir, through media and news, we come across news regarding territorial
integrity of the State of Arunachal, China one of our neighbour has claimed
Arunachal to be theirs. It is a painful state of affairs.
That
sir, we the people of Arunachal Pradesh strongly pledge to be integral
part of the union of India. This question ought not to be raised again.
That
sir, we shall be inalienable part of India as long as the flow of Siang
River (Brahmaputra) remains perennial from Mansarover.
That
sir, it should be made clear to our giant neighbour that only when the
flow of Brahmaputra reverses from the valley of Arunachal Pradesh to Mansarover,
then only one could aspire to think on those lines.
That
sir, in this trying time of terrorist activities from within the country
and from across the border, we must stand united with the Central Government
in achieving progress for the common people. Otherwise our enemies will
succeed in their designs by dividing the country through hatred and mutual
distrust.
That
sir, the case of Ayodhya is being thrown again and again on the national
platform.
We
do not understand as to how the popular belief and trust of people of
this land could be over shadowed by flimsy political grounds. Lord Ram
and Ayodhya are synonymous. According to history, Dasarath was the king
of Ayodhya and Ram was his son and successor. Hence the sanctity of the
birthplace of Ram should be saved through construction of a temple at
the right place. It is a matter of sentiments of majority people of this
holy place of Hindustan. The latest report of ASI to the High Court at
Lucknow, reveals that there was a temple at the place. Hence this sentimental
issue should not be played at all.
Under
these circumstances, I want to leave the Congress party and join the BJP
to strengthen the country. This view I have been cherishing for quite
a long time. Now, this is the time of a change. Hence, I want to join
The BJP .
Your
kind reply in this regard is eagerly awaited.
Yours
faithfully,
(Botte Moyong)
Freedom Fighter
Arunachal Pradesh
