Vijay Goel's Plan to improve MCD schools
Presents example by turning one such into a Model School by taking personal interest.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi is running 1844 schools out of which the condition of most of the schools is deplorable. Union Minister of State Vijay Goel is of this view that the standard and conditions of these schools could improve if these are adopted by individuals, NGO's and industrialists.

Shri Goel has turned one of these schools even better than a Public schools by getting things done during June this year by taking personal interest in its betterment. He used to visit the school to review the progress of work and got renovation work done every alternate day.

He escorted newspersons to the MCD, Primary School, Gali Bandookwali on July 8 which has been a given new look by renovation and providing good-looking desks, chairs, notice boards, water cooler, painted building and clean toilet. This school was lacking all these facilities. Parents of the students of other schools are turning up in large numbers to see this school renovated by Vijay Goel.

He has implemented his plan of renovation of school with the help of a school named "Aadharshila Vidyapeeth", Pitampura. MCD school, Gali Bandookwali has enrolment of 200 children most of them are from low income group families. By presenting this pilot school, Shri Goel would be able to convince MCD officials and elected representatives that the MCD schools would easily be given much better look and their standard could be upgraded.
