Scheduled Caste Morcha: History

The Scheduled Caste Morcha was established by Bharatiya Janata Party in order to preserve and protect the rights of scheduled caste community in India as well as to find solutions to their various problems. The scheduled caste morcha was established during the period of Jan Sangh in 1971-72 by late Kushabhau Thakre and late Pyarelal Khandelwal. At that time, Scheduled Caste Morcha was named Harijan Morcha and since its formation the members of the scheduled caste community have been playing an important role in Morcha in order to achieve its objectives. Under the guidance of top leadership of Scheduled Caste Morcha and Bharatiya Janata Party, along with the support and cooperation of all its members, 29 state units have been established across India. Scheduled Caste Morcha, through its integral humanism, coordinated thinking and through its behavior and work culture is trying to bring social justice and harmony to the country.
