Bharatiya Janata Party will undertake world’s largest training program for farmers. This decision was taken during the National coordination meeting of Kisan Morcha as a part of the second phase of “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan,” in New Delhi today. The meeting aimed at chalking out the outline of training for farmers across India was presided by BJP National General Secretary Shri P Muralidhar Rao the Union Agriculture Minister Shri Radha Mohan Singh.
“Our focus is to ensure that more and more farmers get the benefit of the schemes and policies of the Union & State Government. There is excellent work being done by Government of India but many times the farmers are not able to avail the benefits of the policies and schemes and therefore it’s also the duty of the field level workers to ensure that these benefits reach the farming families,” emphasized Shri Radha Mohan Singh.
Emphasizing that the trainings would be held at four levels, i.e. National, State, District and Assembly level, Shri Muralidhar Rao said that while trainers training at the National level would be of 3.5 days duration, the training at the State & District level would be of 2 days and at the Assembly level, it would be of 1.5 days. “Our idea is to design the farmers training module with a bottom-up approach and that’s why even before designing the curriculum, we are first seeking inputs from the field workers at the ground level. We want this training to be useful and practical. Eventually this training may be conducted at around 11,000 Mandal level,” Shri Rao informed.
This is for the first time, not only in India but across the world, that a political party is trying to impart such an extensive training for the benefit of such a large number of farmers across the country. A detailed course content is being designed for imparting training at all levels. This exercise would be completed by next month, Hemant Goswami, member of the BJP’s Central Training Team informed.
Shailendra Sengar, Vice President of Kissan Morcha said that the training activity of the farmers would now be a permanent activity of the Kissan Morcha to be held regularly. Kissan Morcha will also create a team of trained experts who could assist the farmers according to the needs of that particular geographical area and specific terrain.
