  • High level BJP delegation visiting Assam to assess the flood situation

New Delhi: 30 June,2012: All India president of the Bharatiya Janata Party  Shri Nitin Gadkari has appointed a high level delegation headed by All India General secretary of the party & former Union Minister Shri Vijay Goel to visit the flood affected areas of Assam.

The other two members of the three membered delegation are All India General Secretary Smt. Kiran Maheshwari & Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal. Other members of the delegation consisting of Member of Parliament from Assam Smt. Bijaya Chakravarty, Sh. Kabindra Purukayastha, Sh. Rajen Gohain and Sh. Ramen Deka along with President of the State BJP Sh. Ranjit Dutta will be joining the delegation at various places.

This delegation will be in the State for two days and will be visiting the flood affected areas of the state and all possible help shall is assured to people of Assam in this hour of need. The delegation will also be providing all possible help to the State administration.

Shri Goel has urged the public at large and various State Governments in particular to come out and help the people of Assam in this hour of need.

He also mentioned that they will try to ascertain all possible help to the displaced people of Assam.

The delegation after visiting the state for two days will be submitting its report to the Party President for taking appropriate and immediate actions in this regard.
