(03) Under 47 years of Congress rule in U.P, nearly 34,000 communal riots took place.

(04) BJP has given U.P. a stable govt and has completed its full 5 year term

(05) In UP state elections in 1993 and 1996 there was electoral alliance between Samajwadi Party & B.S.P and Congress & B.S.P. respectively. Despite these alliances, BJP secured the maximum number of seats in U.P. in year 1993 & 1996 polls.

(06) Today BJP is in alliance with nine other political parties in U.P. elections, whereas Samajwadi Party, B.S.P. and Congress are without any alliance partners.

(07) Despite tall claims by various parties in U.P., the results of last five elections in U.P. i.e. Assembly polls in 1993, Assembly & Lok Sabha polls in 1996, Lok Sabha Polls in 1998 and 1999, Bharatiya Janta Party emerged as the largest single political party in the state.

Analysis of party wise position on 403 U.P. state election seats: -

    (a) Congress lost in 70% of the U.P. seats during the past five elections. It was victorious 5 times on Rampur seat only & could not open account on 147 seats.

    (b) B.S.P. could not open it accounts in 232 seats during the previous five elections. It won continuously only on 3 seats in the state.

    (c) Despite its tall claim to form the next govt, Samajwadi Party could not open its account on 131 seats during the past five elections in U.P. It won continuously only on 8 seats in consecutive state elections.

    (d) BJP during the past five elections on its own, continuously won 34 state assembly seats and along with its allies on 54 seats. It could not win on 50 seats only.

(08) Out of 403 seats, 84 seats are reserved in U.P. state elections.

(09) In these 84 reserved seats, BJP won 37 in 1993, 35 seats in 1996, 43 seats in various assembly segments in1998 Lok Sabha polls.

(10) Samajwadi Party won 21 seats, BSP won 30 seats only once and Congress won 5 seats only. The above figures indicate the popularity of BJP in maximum number of reserved seats in the state.

(11) BJP is committed to give 33% reservation to women in State and Lok Sabha elections. Five times it introduced a resolution in Parliament. Due to stiff opposition of Samajwadi Party, BSP and Congress the "Women Reservation Bill" could not be passed.

(12) In 1996, out of 422 seats, BJP gave seats to 28 Women candidates and now out of 319 seats contested by BJP, it has fielded 29 Women candidates.


(13) Whereas Samajwadi Party has given nomination to mere 21 and BSP to 15 Women candidates only.

(14) On the recommendations of "Social Justice Committee", BJP announced reservations in govt jobs to most backwards and scheduled castes.

(15) So to implement its public announcement, BJP out of 319 seats, allocated 170 seats to scheduled caste and backward candidates in the current U.P. polls

(16) Samajwadi Party has allocated 49 seats to backwards, 48 to Yadav's and 54 to scheduled castes.

(17) BSP has allocated 126 seats to backward & scheduled castes only.

(18) BJP has fielded 100 new faces in the U.P. state elections. BJP has denied re-nomination to 41 victorious candidates of last assembly polls.

(19) Out of total 402 seats, BJP is contesting on 319 seats and has allotted 84 Seats to it allies in U.P. state assembly polls.

The Seat allocation is as belows:-

(20) BJP on 319, Lok Dal led by Ch. Ajit Singh on 37, Lok Shakti led by Sh. Ram Vilas Paswan on 8, Samta Party led by Sh. George Fernandes on 8, Janta Dal (United) led by Sharad Yadav on 12, Shakti Dal on 6, Loktantrik Congress on 4, K.I.M.B.P. on 2, Lok Parivartan on 4 and Independents on 3 Seats.

(21) BJP is implementing successfully the concept of "National Democratic Alliance" in the U.P. state elections.

(22) The desertion of Samajwadi Party by its five Lok Sabha elected parliamentarians is an glowing example of it diminishing grass root popularity.

(23) Raj Nath led BJP govt. provided free education to 36 Lakh students of the under privileged sections in U.P.

(24) BJP govt provided 85,000 jobs in "Grade C" for un-employed degree holders in U.P.
