Rejecting the report published by the news portal, www.thewire.in against Shri Jai Amit Shah, son of BJP President Shri Amit Shah, as false, baseless, derogatory and defamatory, Railway Minister and senior BJP leader Shri Piyush Goyal said that the allegations don’t outline any kind of illegality in Mr. Jai Amit Shah's private business.
Dismissing all the allegations, Shri Goyal said that on the basis of this false report, a deliberate and disgusting attempt has been made to tarnish the image of the BJP's National President, Shri Amit Shah and his family. Stating that the report doesn’t have any authenticity, Shri Goyal said that the website has published completely misleading, false and mischievous allegations in its report. Shri Jai Amit Shah has decided to file Rs 100 crore civil and criminal defamation suits in an Ahmedabad court against the writer, editor and owner of News Publication (www.thewire.in).
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, Shri Goyal severely criticized the Congress party for its unfounded allegations on the basis of a baseless and false report of a news website.
Shri Goyal said that the attorneys of Shri Jai Amit Shah have clearly answered all the queries sent by ‘The Wire’ through an email. He said that throughout life, Mr. Amit Shah ji and his family have maintained highest probity and integrity. Shri Jai Amit Shah has already clarified that his business is completely legal, transparent and in total confirmity of business regulations and sound, legitimate commercial guidelines. Their tax records and banking transactions clearly reflect this transparency, Shri Goyal stated. He said that Shri Jai Amit Shah has taken loans from NBFC and Co-operative Bank entirely in accordance with the well laid down commercial terms. Shri Jai Amit Shah has paid back the loan by the cheque within the stipulated time paying commercial rate of interest. Not only that, he had also mortgaged his family property in the co-operative bank to get the credit facility, Shri Goyal informed. He said that no facts have ever been concealed pertaining to this. He said that the facts in the case offer strong evidence of our truthful position and that is why we are going to court against these baseless allegations.
Shri Goyal said that Congress and Aam Aadmi Party will not achieve anything from these unfounded allegations. He said that leveling false allegations and then running away is the old habit of the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party. Entire top leadership of the Congress itself is out on bail bonds for their involvement in Rs 5,000 crore fraud whereas the leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party is facing court trials in several defamatory cases, Shri Goyal stated.
