Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with BJP MPs, MLAs  and other people’s representatives on “Gram Swaraj Abhiyan” through the medium of audio bridge.

To make Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s appeal of making role and motive of “Gram Swaraj Abhiyan” nationally successful, the BJP has announced to carry on Gram Swaraj Abhiyan from April 14 to May 5.

Shri Modi said that except two states where the Model Code of Conduct is in place, all other states will be covered under the campaign. For the empowerment of poor and farmers, BJP’s public representatives will take the campaign among the rural areas of the country through which the dreams of great leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Dr B.R. Ambedkar, and Jyotiba Phule will be fulfilled.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi stated that he himself will join the campaign on April 14 in the Aspirational District Bijapur in Chhattisgarh. He said that April 11 is the birth anniversary of great social reformer Jyotiba Phule who empowered the society against all social evils.

The BJP government is continuously working hard to fulfil the dreams of “Gram Swaraj” by leaders such as Dr B.R Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi, in which social justice, education, brotherhood, respect for women, upliftment of poor and villagers and cleanliness can be strengthened.

He emphasised that the dream of new India will be strengthened with the strengthening and development of villages. Shri Modi stated that with the improvement of living standards of people in rural India, the country will automatically move ahead on the path of development.

Shri Modi said, "To make the campaign of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan nationally successful, all BJP public representatives have to go from people to people and village to village. BJP's people representatives should ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach women, farmers and poor people of the country."

 Salient points of Prime Minister’s address through audio bridge:

  • 18th April will be celebrated as Swachh Bharat Parv. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is also a campaign of social justice. There is a need to change the mindset of those who consider cleaning workers as low profile.

 

  • Ujwala Diwas will be organised on 20th April, and LPG panchayats will be called to give new connections.

 

  • Panchayati Raj Diwas will be celebrated on 24th April. All BJP workers will participate in the program to create awareness among the people.

 

  • Gram Shakti Abhiyan will be organised on 28th April, during which there will be interaction with beneficiaries of schemes like Saubhagya Yojana and LED bulb distribution.

 

  • 30th April will be celebrated as “Ayushman Bharat Diwas” which is popularly known as Modi care. This scheme is world’s largest health initiative for the welfare of poor people.

 

  • Kishan Kalyan Karyashala will be organised on 2nd May, during which workshops will be initiated for the empowerment and doubling of income of the farmers.

 

  • Kaushal Vikas Mela will be organised for the labour class on 5th May.

 

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also said that on 12th April, all public representatives of BJP and the party workers will observe a day long fast. Shri Modi will also observe the day long fast along with performing his daily official work.

He said that the BJP will expose the mindset of handful of people who are frustrated after being out of power, and constantly conspiring to murder democracy by not letting the parliament to function.

Shri Modi also announced that on 22nd April, he will interact with all the BJP public representatives and party workers through Narendra Modi app.
