Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee
 1980 - 1986

Shri Vajpayee was Prime Minister of India from May 16-31, 1996 and a second time from March 19, 1998 to May 13, 2004. With his swearing-in as Prime Minister, he has been the only Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to occupy the office of the Prime Minister of India through three successive mandates. Shri Vajpayee has also been the first Prime Minister since Smt. Indira Gandhi to lead his party to victory in successive elections.

Dr. M M Joshi

Dr. Joshi was born on January 5, 1934. Dr. Joshi had his early education at Hindu High School, Chandpur and completed his higher education from Meerut College and Allahabad University where he was inspired by some of his teachers who used to encourage students for supporting freedom movement. Tilak's Gita Rahasya had a tremendous influence on him. Great RSS leaders like Guruji Golwalker, Deendayal Upadhyaya and Prof. Rajendra Singh played a major role in shaping the young Murli Manohar's political thinking. Specialising in Spectroscopy, he was awarded Ph.D by the Allahabad University. Writings of Vivekananda and Aurobindo had a strong influence on his ideology.

K. Jana Krishnamurthi, born on 24 May, 1928, in Madurai City (Tamilnadu). He was born in a lawyer's family in that he is the fourth generation lawyer. He studied in Madurai and graduated taking Economics as main, History as subsidiary and politics as special subject. He is a product of Law College, Chennai and successfully practiced law in Madurai for 12 years.

Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu

Shri Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu was born on 1st July, 1949 in Chavatapalem, a remote village in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. His parents, Late Shri Rangaiah Naidu and Smt. Ramanamma were agriculturists. After graduating from V.R College, Nellore, he obtained the law degree from the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Shri Naidu was married to Smt. Usha on 14th April, 1971 and is blessed with a daughter and a son.

Shri Rajnath Singh








2005 - 2009

Born on 10th July 1951 in a farmer's family at village Babhora, Tehasil Chakia, District Varansi (now district Chanduli) UP, to Shri Rambadan Singh and Srimati Gujarati Devi.

 

He received his basic education in the village and subsequently he completed his MSc Physics from Gorakhapur University UP. He worked as a lecturer of Physics at K.B. Post-Graduate College Mirzapur, UP.

He was a brilliant student and an active RSS worker since his student life. He became the RSS karyavah (General Secretary) of Mirzapur city in 1972. Also remained organisational secretary of ABVP Gorakhpur division from 1969 to 1971.
