Expressing concern over today's violent incidents in Rajasthan BJP President Shri Rajnath Singh has called it unfortunate and tragic. He also extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died in today's violence.

BJP President convened a meeting of party General Secretaries and the members of the Core-Group at his residence and discussed the situation prevailing in the State.

Shri Singh spoke to Rajasthan Chief Minister Smt Vasundhara Raje Scindia over the phone and got apprised of the situation. She informed the BJP President that she had ordered a high level inquiry into the incident with immediate effect.

Shri Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders present in the meeting appealed to all sections of the society in Rajasthan to maintain peace and observe restraint in this sensitive situation.

The meeting was attended by Shri Jaswant Singh, Prof Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Smt Sushma Swaraj, Shri Arun Jaitley, Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot, Shri Ramlal, Shri Vijay Goyal and presided over by Shri Rajnath Singh.
