Condoles demise of Smt. Nirmala Deshpande

New Delhi

I am saddened by the news about the passing away of Smt. Nirmala Deshpande, MP (Rajya Sabha), early this morning.

Smt. Deshpande was an ardent Gandhian who propagated the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi both within the country and internationally. She will be remembered for her consistent efforts to normalize relations between India and Pakistan.
