BJP National President Shri Rajnath Singh has appointed the Election-Incharges of certain States. Shri Arun Jaitley has been made the election incharge of Karnataka. Shri M Venkaiah Naidu has been made the election incharge of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and Shri Ravi Sahankar Prasad will be the election incharge of Chhattisgarh.

Shri Rajnath Singh has also constituted a seven member core-group from the election management committee announced earlier. Shri M Venkaiah Naidu would be the convenor of this core-group. The other members of this core-group are Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi, Shri Jaswant Singh, Smt Suhsma Swaraj, Shri Arun Jaitley, Shri Ram Lal and Shri Ananth Kumar.

Shri Ananth Kumar has been appointed the Secretary of the election management committee and the core group committee.
