Shri Rajnath Singh on Rajasthan

BJP President Shri Rajnath Singh said that he was satisfied with the final outcome of the talks between the Rajasthan Government and leaders of the Gujjar and other communities.

Speaking to the media the BJP President said that over the last few days the agitation over the issue of reservation by the Gujjar community in Rajasthan and some other neighbouring states had finally reached a satisfactory and harmonious conclusion this evening. Shri Rajnath Singh in particular thanked the leaders of the Gujjar and Meena Communities for playing a constructive role in the talks with the Rajasthan Government. Shri Singh added that he was confident that in addition to the Gujjar and Meena communities, all other communities would also play a positive and constructive role in maintaining social harmony and cohesion.

The BJP President at the same time conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families of those people who lost their lives during the agitation.

BJP Vice President Shri Yashwant Sinha and party spokesperson Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad were also present during the briefing.
