The pre dawn dastardly Fidayeen attack on the CRPF camp in Rampur killing eight security personnel including a civilian and injuring several is a heart-rending UPA’s New Year’s greeting to the Nation. This is possibly the first premeditated Fidayeen attack in the country’s hinterland, indicating that Jehadi outfit modules have positioned themselves deep inside the country and are not just confined to borders of Kashmir. This vindicates BJP’s repeated assertion that large number of sleeper calls have stealthily positioned themselves in last three years taking advantage of soft polices of the UPA government. This action shows a complete lackadaisical and indifferent approach of the UPA government to fight terrorism and is nothing but an absolute failure.

We are aware that today America stands as one of the most sworn and hated enemy for the Jehadis yet after 9/11 not a single terrorist incident has been reported. While in India, terrorist attacks not only remain unabated but there is a marked increase and are even rapidly reaching far flung areas. Not only did the NDA government go hard on prempting terrorist attacks, but also went aggressively detecting and locating ISI and other terrorist modules, bursting and immobilising more than two hundred of them.

The UPA government remains unfazed with the spate of terrorist attacks which where done in Uttar Pradesh alone in last two years with the attack on Ayodhya, Varanasi and Jaunpur and recent simultaneous serial blasts in Court complexes of Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad where not a single accuse has been apprehended is an obvious outcome of Government soft pedaling on terrorism.

It is pertinent to recall that not only the attackers on Parliament were duly thwarted foiling their murderous attempt and in less then a year and half the perpetrators were tracked and punished, despite that Afzal Guru remains unexecuted even after six years where the conviction has been even upheld by the highest Court. It is the attitude and intent of the UPA government not only to go soft and slow on terrorism but also deliberately display such actions emboldening Jehadi outfits and terrorist organisation to have a free play on the Indian soil. The UPA government has neither the will nor the desire or strength to fight terrorism and instead it continues to indulge in the flip – flop blame game.
