1. Quit India movement and the Communists

Arjun Singh has heaped insult on the memory of the heroes of the Quit India movement by sharing the dais with the Communists in the commemorative programme on August 8.

Not many people in the present generation know that the Communists had opposed the Quit India movement in 1942 - which undoubtedly was the point of climax in the Freedom Struggle.

It is instructive to see why the Communists opposed the Quit India movement. It was the time of the Second World War, which had begun in 1939 with Nazi Germany ranged against the Allied Nations. Britain wanted Indian people to side with it in the war, which the Congress and all the nationalist forces stoutly rejected. Indian people's stand was that Britain should first make India free before seeking our cooperation in the Anti-Fascist War.

In 1941, Germany attacked the Soviet Union. Suddenly, the Communists separated themselves from the national mainstream and declared support to Britain under the pretext that the Second World War had turned into a Patriotic War because the Soviet Union had been attacked. For the Communists, Stalin's Soviet Union was their Socialist Fatherland, whose defence was more important than even the independence of our own Motherland!

No wonder, the British rulers arrested tens of thousands of patriotic Indians, including Gandhiji and Nehruji, after the Quit India Resolution, but the Communists were allowed to go scot-free.

It was the time when the Communists made the vilest of allegations against our national leaders. Gandhiji was called "the puppet of the bourgeoisie". Subhash Chandra Bose was branded as a "Nazi agent".

ARE WE TO LEARN PATRIOTISM FROM THESE COMMUNISTS?

2. Falsifying Mahatma Gandhi's assassination

Not a day passes without pseudo-secular parties linking the RSS and the BJP to Mahatma Gandhi's assassination. Shri Arjun Singh has uttered this lie again at the function yesterday.

These pseudo-secular parties think that a lie becomes truth if repeated a thousand times.

They want people to forget that a Commission of Enquiry instituted by the Nehru government had absolved the RSS of any association with Gandhiji's murder.

Everyone knows that Gandhji's thoughts and ideals are being murdered everyday by Congressmen themselves. They abandoned Gandhiji even when he was alive. Soon after Independence, Gandhiji advised Congressmen to disband the Congress party and convert it into a Lok Sevak Sangh. They disobeyed him because they wanted to enjoy power. Satta (power) became more important to them than Seva (service).

3. Hard on nationalists, Soft on terrorists

The UPA government has chosen to turn a blind eye to the real dangers to India's national unity and security. The term 'cross-border terrorism' does not find a single mention in the UPA's Common Minimum Programme. The situation in Jammu & Kashmir is rapidly deteriorating. The Chief Minister has escaped an assassination bid. There were two bids, within a span of eight days, on the life of the deputy Chief Minister.

There is an upswing in the activities of ULFA in Assam. Manipur is boiling.

But the UPA government thinks that the BJP and other nationalist forces pose the main danger to the nation!

4. BJP's 3-D formula versus Arjun Singh's 3-D formula

It is not surprising that the UPA has maintained a conspiratorial silence on the Demographic Invasion by Bangladeshi infiltrators.

Recently, the country witnessed a shocking display of pseudo-secular negationism on this issue. The Minister of State for Home, Shri Shriprakash Jaiswal admitted in the Rajya Sabha that there are 1.2 crore illegal migrants from Bangladesh in India. The very next day, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who was on a tour of Assam, questioned the veracity of his own minister's statement in Parliament! The minister himself backtracked by saying that the figure given by him was not official!

All well-informed observers of the influx from Bangladesh have been warning the nation of the grave long-term consequences of this phenomenon. Shri T.V. Rajeshwar, newly appointed Governor of UP and former chief of IB, has termed it 'DEMOGRAPHIC INVASION'.

The BJP has consistently called for the repeal of the IMDT Act in Assam and adopt of the 3-D formula with respect of the illegal migrants from Bangladesh:

DETECT, DELETE and DEPORT.

Our learned HRD minister, who is not bothered about this and other dangers to India's unity and security, has instead given his own 3-D formula:

DETECT (supporters of nationalist thought in government),
DELETE (their names from government employment)
and DEMONISE (the nationalist ideology).

This is the real face of fascism.
