Press statement by BJP President Shri Rajnath Singh on the Municipal Corporation of Delhi results

BJP President Shri Rajnath Singh thanked voters of Delhi for giving BJP resounding victory and congratulated the Delhi Pradesh BJP leaders and worker for its comprehensive victory in the recently held elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Shri Rajnath Singh said that BJP victory is a clear indication of the complete rejection by the people of Delhi of the so called “Aam Admi” policies of the Congress Party which are nothing more than hollow promises used only for electoral posturing.

Shri Rajnath Singh said that under the Congress Party, the people of Delhi have been severely impacted by poor governance and anti-people policies including unprecedented price rise of every essential commodity, lack of proper civic amenities such as good quality roads, sewerage, garbage collection and above all high levels of corruption. With this result, the citizens of Delhi have not only conclusively rejected the policies of the Congress Party in Delhi but are also taking the lead in indicating the future trend of electoral results expected across the country, he added.

The BJP President said that the party will live upto the expectations of the people of Delhi and ensure that they get a responsible and responsive government that will solve all their problems and make the city a world class capital.
