Capital blasts April 14, 2006: Fourteen persons, including a woman and a girl, were injured in two bomb explosions inside the Jama Masjid soon after the evening prayers. The case is unsolved. October 29, 2005: 67 persons were killed and 298 were injured in three powerful serial bomb explosions in the busy marketplaces (Sarojini Nagar and Paharganj and one in a DTC bus at Govindpuri. Five Persons, Tariq Ahmad Dar, Hussain Fazli, Mohammad Rafiq Shah, Ghulam Ahmad Khan and Farooq Ahmad Battoo have been arrested in the blasts. The perpetrators are absconding. August 8, 2005: A crude bomb blast in front of a Zee News correspondent's house in Laxmi Nagar. No arrested. May 22, 2005: Two explosions at two cinema halls in Delhi during the screening of the Hindi film Jo Bole So Nihal killed one and injured at least 60 others. First blast was at Liberty Cinema. The second bomb exploded at the toilet of Satyam Cinema. Few BKI men have been arrested. Encounters since February 2004 May 08, 2006: Abu Hamza, a Pakistani terrorist belonging to LeT was shot dead outside Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Four kilograms of RDX, four detonators and Rs. 50,000 were recovered from his car. March 07, 2006: Ghulam Yazdani and Ahsan Hasan of Lashkar were killed in an encounter in Holambi village May 25, 2005: Shabir Ahmad Shah and Osama of LeT were killed near Pragati Maidan. March 5, 2005: Three LeT men, Bilawal, Shahnawaz and Shams, were shot dead at Kakrola Mor in South-West Delhi. Three AK-56 assault rifles, hand-grenades, live cartridges, satellite phones and some documents were recovered from their hideout. According to police, the terrorists were allegedly planning to target the Indian Military Academy in Dehra Dun. August 16, 2004: A Lashkar terrorist, Ahmad, was shot dead at Dwarka in South-West Delhi. Arrests made since Feb 2004 July 10, 2006: Aijaz Hussain Khwaja, a Lashkar operative, arrested near NBCC building with 2 kg RDX May 8, 2006: Abdullah and Ali of Lashkar arrested from Nizammuddin Railway Station. They allegedly had plans to strike at the Film Producer's Guild Awards meeting in Mumbai May 2, 2006: Harpal Singh Cheema of Khalistan Force arrested from Indira Gandhi International airport. March 20, 2006: Paramjeet Singh Bheora, 'head of operations' of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) in India, along with accomplices Jasbir and Bhupinder arrested from GT Karnal Road with 4 kg RDX February 27, 2006: LeT operatives Shamil and Shaheen arrested at the New Delhi Railway Station February 25, 2006: Two Bangladeshi nationals belonging to Harkat-ul-Jehad-Islami (HuJI) arrested from Shastri Park with 1.42 PETN explosives and four detonators. Target: Republic Day celebrations February 10, 2006: Irshad Ali and Mohammad Muarif Qamar alias Nawab of Al-Badr arrested for planning blasts in Delhi |
