| Don't complain to cops, said Mahajan
Sources said that Mahajan’s first instruction to his wife Rekha, when she rushed into the room on hearing the gunshots, was, "Call Gopinath" (Munde, his brother-in-law, who lives in the same building). He then told her that he should be taken to the Hinduja Hospital since other big hospitals were not very close. "I don’t have much time," sources quoted him as having told his wife. His final instruction, sources said, was that there should be no complaint to the police against "Chandu". On his way to hospital, he asked Munde, "What was my fault? At the hospital, sources said, Mahajan even told doctors the names of the medicines he had been taking to keep his blood pressure and sugar level in check. Mahajan continues to be in a critical condition though doctors said they had reduced medication for blood pressure levels. |
